Closed comedones

Closed comedones, commonly known as closed pimples, typically result from overactive sebaceous glands in the hair follicles. Excessive keratinization at the follicle opening forms a cap, causing the opening to close. The sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands gets trapped in the follicle, forming small follicular bumps that do not have a visible opening on the surface.

Closed comedones usually appear as flesh-colored or transparent small bumps. They may be difficult to see from a distance but can be felt as small, uneven bumps when touched. They are not red, swollen, painful, or itchy. Some people may notice facial unevenness when looking at their skin under certain lighting. These bumps are usually no larger than 2mm and primarily appear on the forehead, chin, cheeks, around the lips, and on the sides of the nose.

Treatment Plan

1.Hydrafacial

Hydrafacial, developed by the American company Hydrafacial, is a skin management program designed to combat aging and promote skin clarity and radiance.

As a non-invasive skincare treatment, Hydrafacial is highly suitable for daily, long-term care and is compatible with all skin types, including sensitive skin.

In contrast to many medical aesthetic procedures that focus on the deeper layers of the skin, Hydrafacial prioritizes the concept of nurturing skin health. Its core technology revolves around the rapid repair of the skin barrier, employing an exclusive patented four-in-one vacuum bidirectional Vortex technology. This technique, combined with exfoliation, gently extracts impurities such as blackheads, whiteheads, and acne from within the pores, effectively removing dead skin cells. Furthermore, it facilitates the infusion of nutrient-rich serums, providing the skin with nourishment while purifying it through vacuum suction. This dual action achieves the desired outcome of deep purification and healthy nourishment for the skin.

With zero pain and no downtime, each session only takes 30 minutes. Hydrafacial addresses various skin concerns at their root, including blackheads, dehydration, fine lines, sensitivity, discoloration, enlarged pores, acne, and photodamage, swiftly restoring healthy and radiant skin.

2.Chemical Peel

Introduction: Chemical Peel, also known as chemical exfoliation, involves the application of acidic products on the skin to dissolve the oil binding the keratinocytes, prompting the shedding of the aging keratin layer. This process accelerates the turnover rate of keratinocytes and some superficial epidermal cells, enhancing skin metabolism and promoting the proliferation of elastic fibers in the dermis, thus restoring and maintaining skin health. Chemical peels are effective in skin whitening, acne scar removal, pore refinement, wrinkle reduction, blackhead removal, and the treatment of conditions like acne and melasma.

Mechanism of Action: The skin's epidermis and dermis contain pigment particles, which may lead to surface pigmentation, pigmented deposition, and acne marks. Chemical peels effectively address these issues. The effects of chemical peels on the skin can be categorized into three aspects: epidermal effects, pigment effects, and dermal effects. In terms of epidermal and pigment effects, chemical peels prevent abnormal keratin accumulation, promote the activation and renewal of epidermal cells, reduce melanin production, and provide excellent moisturizing capabilities, making them particularly effective for acne. Chemical peels not only expedite the resolution of inflammatory acne lesions but also aid in the removal of blackheads and the fading of acne marks and scars. In terms of dermal effects, chemical peels promote collagen production, assist in the renewal of elastic fibers, and contribute to the formation of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, their inherent antioxidant properties help prevent skin aging and reduce fine lines and wrinkles effectively.

3.Fillmed Acne Treatment

Fillmed Acne Treatment is a specialized treatment designed to address acne-prone skin concerns. Its goal is to balance sebum production, cleanse pores, and reduce the formation of acne. For existing acne and skin inflammation, Fillmed Acne Treatment utilizes products with anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, such as chamomile and niacinamide, to alleviate skin inflammation and discomfort. The treatment may include the use of a needle for extraction (with slight discomfort).
